Travis Brown and Shane Hudson Receive Conference USA Soccer Honors

DePaul University men's soccer players Travis Brown and Shane Hudson recently received honors from Conference USA for their play this season. Brown, a freshman, was named to the league's All-Freshman team while Hudson, a senior, was chosen to the C-USA third team by the league's nine head coaches.

Hudson picked up third team honors after tallying four goals and six assists this year for the Blue Demons. The Kingwood, Texas, native ranked second on the team with 14 points. He finished his career at DePaul by tallying one assist in each of the last three games and scored a goal in two of the last three matches.

Brown is the second consecutive Blue Demon to earn All-Freshman honors. Defender Casey Carr was named to the newcomer team a year ago. After a slow start, Brown scored all five of his goals in the last nine matches. The St. Charles, Mo., native tallied his first two goals of the season on Oct. 2 against Loyola-Chicago. The freshman finished the year as the third-leading scorer on the club with 11 points on five goals and one assist.
