Men's Soccer Earns NSCAA Academic Recognition
DePaul finished with a 3.38 team GPA

Nov. 19, 2012

The National Soccer Coaches Association of America has announced its men’s soccer Team Academic Award recipients for the 2012 year with DePaul earning the 11th-best grade-point average among Division I programs.

Head coach Craig Blazer’s squad is one of just two BIG EAST Conference programs to make the Top 25, the other being USF. DePaul’s 3.38 team GPA ranks just .09 points behind the national leader, LIU Brooklyn (3.47).

From the NSCAA, the Team Academic Award demonstrates a team's goal-centered focus on their academic priority, recognizes and rewards all team members for commendable academic performance, adds an attractive feature to team members' college resumes that reflects commitment, responsibility, and discipline.

The Blue Demon men join the DePaul women’s basketball team (third) and the DePaul men’s golf team (first) in the Top 25 of their respective sports.
