Nov. 30, 2017

CHICAGO - DePaul athletics director Jean Lenti Ponsetto announced today a change in the leadership of the men's soccer program. DePaul will begin a national search for a new coaching staff to lead the men's soccer program.

"We'd like to thank Craig Blazer, Craig Reynolds and Anthony Szymel for their contributions to the men's soccer program," said Ponsetto. "Coach Blazer upgraded the academic profile of the program and also provided growth on and off the field for our student-athletes."

Blazer led the program for 17 seasons that included a BIG EAST Red Division title and NCAA Tournament appearance in 2007. Additionally, DePaul earned numerous academic honors for both team and individual efforts in the classroom that included 10 straight NSCAA/United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Awards. He totaled a record of 102-177-40 in his DePaul coaching career.
