DePaul Men's Tennis Stays Perfect at Home, Defeats Toledo 4-3
Feb. 16, 2013 CHICAGO - The DePaul men's tennis team continued to roll at home, defeating visiting Toledo 4-3 on Saturday at Lakeshore Sport & Fitness. With the win, the Blue Demons improved to 3-4 overall and earned their second straight win in dual match play - including a 3-0 mark in Lincoln Park. Toledo fell to 10-6 overall with the loss. The Blue Demons started off the match by taking the doubles point with a pair of wins. Third doubles pair Adam Reinhart and Paul John got DePaul off to a good start with an 8-4 win over Bryant Dudzik and Ryan Jorgensen. Senior Mathias Hambach and junior Filip Dzanko then clinched the doubles point with an 8-6 win over Tomas Stillman and Nicholas Wong. In singles, Dzanko won his second straight at first singles to improve to 10-8 overall with a 6-4, 7-5 decision against Stillman. The Blue Demons got another point at fourth singles, where freshman Jan-Willem Feilzer defeated Wong 6-4, 6-7, 6-3. Sophomore Adam Reinhart notched DePaul's other win at sixth singles, where he defeated Dudzik 6-1, 6-3. Next up for DePaul will be a match on Saturday, Feb. 23 in Tucson, Ariz. against Cal Poly.
