CHICAGO – This band of guys just keeps on rocking.

DePaul men’s tennis was in fine form on Saturday, remaining unbeaten at home after a decisive 6-1 victory over Valparaiso at Lakeshore Sport & Fitness.

The Blue Demons improved to 8-3 in the dual-match season and they have won six of their last eight matches.

It began with the tandems of Alex Galoustian/Boris Spanjaard and Tripp Tuff/Conor O’Meara clinching the doubles point.

Tuff and O’Meara have been downright tough in that role, going 5-0 in the dual season and 8-0 overall.

After coach Matt Brothers’ guys lost the opening singles match at No. 3, they stormed back to dominate with five consecutive victories. Christopher Casati was nothing but resolute in his 6-2, 6-7 (5-7), 10-6 super tiebreaking triumph at No. 4.

Galoustian, Spanjaard, Luuk Wassenaar and Tuff matched Casati’s success. Wassenaar upped his record to 7-1 in the dual season and Casati is now 6-3.

Up next for this Band of Brothers is a road match Friday at Illinois State followed by a Saturday showdown with Creighton at ISU in Downstate Normal.
