BLOOMINGTON, Ill. -- The No. 64 DePaul men’s tennis team picked up its third consecutive victory with a hard-fought 4-3 win at Illinois State on Sunday at the Evergreen Racquet Club. The Blue Demons, who have won seven of their last eight, improve to 9-2 on the season while the Redbirds fall to 4-3.
The Redbirds jumped out to an early 1-0 lead after taking the doubles point and winning on the number one and three courts. George Chanturia and Matija Palinic picked up their 12th win with an 8-5 win on the second court.
Palinic put the Blue Demons on the board with a 6-2, 6-3 victory over Timon Reichelt in the number two position. Dzanko followed and improved to 6-2 on the season with a 6-1, 6-4 win over Skip Span on the number six court.

The Redbirds knotted the dual at three with a win in the number one position before all eyes turned to the fourth court where Bartosz Jozwiak and Tuomas Manner were in the midst of their third set.
