Men's Tennis Drops Second Straight in Tucson
Junior Filip Dzanko went the distance at first singles, but lost in a close 10-7 tie-breaker.

TUCSON, Ariz. - A tough road weekend came to a close for DePaul men's tennis on Sunday as the Blue Demons dropped a 7-0 decision to Arizona at LaNelle Robson Tennis Center.

With the loss, DePaul moves to 3-6 overall and 0-3 on the road. Arizona improved to 8-2.

DePaul saw two matches go three sets for the second straight day, but again couldn't pull out wins in the close ones.

At the top spot, junior Filip Dzanko dropped his first set before rebounding to force a tie-breaker but came up just short, 10-7, in the extra frame. Sixth singles saw the Blue Demons drop another close tie-breaker when Adam Reinhart split his first two sets before falling 10-8 in the finale.

The freshman twosome of Jan-Willem Feilzer and Sten Leusink also lost a close duel for the second straight day at second doubles, 8-7 (4).

DePaul will be back in action next beginning next month with a trip to Corpus Christi, Texas on March 1 and 2 to participate in the HEB Invitational.
