Mathias Hambach, Adam Reinhart and Josh Dancu joined Chaffee in the B Singles Flight.  The quartet combined for four of DePaul’s six singles wins.  Hambach and Reinhart both received a first round bye -- Hambach topped Toledo’s Garrett Cona 6-1, 6-4 in the second round; while Reinhart swept Eric Klawitter from Case Western 6-1, 6-1.

Chaffee dominated in his first collegiate singles match.  The Frisco, Texas native controlled the match from the opening serve and defeated Purdue’s Thomas Kroczek 6-2, 6-1.  He then advanced to the Round of 16 with a 6-3, 6-4 win over Henning Gess from the opening Green Bay.   Should Chaffee and Reinhart both win their Saturday morning singles match the Blue Demon pair would square off in the quarterfinals.
