Day One Results

VALPARAISO, Ind. – DePaul’s doubles teams had quite a performance Saturday in sweeping all four matches at the Valparaiso Invitational.

Christopher Casati and Tamas Zador knocked off Freddie O’Brien and Trent Reiman of Eastern Illinois 6-3 and followed up with another 6-3 decision over EIU’s Michael Kianicka and Fernando Nardelli.

The Conor O’Meara and Tripp Tuff tandem topped Grant Reiman and Kaisei Kuroki of EIU 6-3 and dealt the Panthers’ Param Pun and Donovan Towers a 6-2 loss.

In singles, Casati prevailed over Valparaiso’s Gabriel Carvajal 5-7, 6-1, 12-10 while teammate O’Meara defeated Valpo’s David Langston 6-4, 6-4. Tamas Zador lost 6-3, 6-4 to Valpo’s Chad Kissell and Tripp Tuff dropped a 6-2, 3-6, 10-3 decision to Valparaiso’s Kweisi Kenyatte.

There will be one round of doubles and two rounds of singles on Sunday starting with doubles play at 9 a.m.
