Zador Leads the Way on Sunday

Day Two Results

VALPARAISO, Ind. – Led by Tamas Zador, DePaul went 5-3 in singles matches Sunday at the Valparaiso Invitational.

Zador battled past Fernando Nardelli of Wright State 6-1, 6-7 (7-5), 10-5 in his opening match of the final day and followed up with a 6-0, 7-5 victory over Grant Reiman of Eastern Illinois.

Blue Demon teammates Christopher Casati, Conor O’Meara and Tripp Tuff all split their two singles matches.

For the weekend, Zador, Casati and O’Meara all went 2-1 in singles.

DePaul’s doubles teams finished 5-1 at the Valparaiso Invitational after sweeping all four matches on Saturday and splitting on Sunday.

O’Meara and Tuff topped Gabriel Carvajal and Brian Pecyna of Valpo 6-4 before Casati and Zador lost 6-3 to Chad Kissell and Brandon Ancona of Valpo. O’Meara and Tuff finished the weekend with a perfect 3-0 record.

The men’s tennis team is back in action Friday at the Louisville Invitational.
