COLUMBUS, Ohio – Three of DePaul’s men’s tennis players finished their singles run at the ITA Midwest Regional, hosted by Ohio State at the Varsity Tennis Center and the Jesse Owens West Tennis Center.  Mathias Hambach reached the second round of the qualifying bracket while Adam Reinhart and Aaron Chaffee lost in the first round.

Hambach, who was the No. 6 seed in the qualifying bracket, started his day with a 6-2, 6-2 victory over Nick Tolomei from Detroit.  Facing his second Detroit player of the day, the Blue Demon junior succumbed to the Titan’s Adam Latosinsky 6-2, 7-5.  The loss ended Hambach’s singles run at the tournament.

Reinhart battled through three grueling sets with Toledo’s Grant Adams.  Adams won the first set 6-3, but everything went Reinhart’s way in the second set.  The Blue Demon freshman dominated the second stanza with a 6-1 win which forced a deciding set.  With long rallies highlighting the final set, Adams came out on top, 6-4.
