Leusink Continues Run on Day Two of USTA/ITA Regionals

Blue Demon freshman runs off a pair of singles wins to qualify for and advance in main draw

Freshman Sten Leusink won another pair of matches on day two to qualify for and advance in the prestigious main draw

EAST LANSING, Mich. - Sten Leusink continued his two-day USTA/ITA Midwest Regional run, defeating a pair of opponents to qualify for and advance in the main draw on Friday at the Michigan State University Indoor Tennis Facility.

After defeating UIC's Alan Reifer 6-1, 7-6 (7-2) to move into the main draw, Leusink faced Wisconsin's Alex Kostanov in the first round and dispatched him in straight sets, 6-4, 6-4.

The Blue Demon freshman advances to face Michigan's Vlad Stefan in the second round of the tournament.
