Reinhart Earns Singles Win to Open Wildcat Invite
Oct. 26, 2012
CHICAGO - Sophomore Adam Reinhart picked up a singles win as the DePaul men's tennis team opened up play at the Northwestern Wildcat Invitational on Friday at the Combe Indoor Tennis Center. The Blue Demons did not send a full complement to the weekend tournament. In the opening round of the "B" bracket, Reinhart defeated Toledo's Roberto Meza in straight sets, 6-0, 6-3, to claim his third win in his past four matches, improving to 7-3 overall on the fall season. Illinois State's Muddappa Appanervanda awaits Reinhart in tomorrow's second round match. Senior Mathias Hambach was also in competition against a Toledo student-athlete, but fell against the Rockets' Tomas Stillman. Hambach will move along in the back draw to face an opponent from Western Michigan on Saturday afternoon. Both Blue Demons are schedule to begin their matches at 11:00 a.m. CT on Saturday afternoon.
