David Mullins Named Associate Men's Tennis Coach



CHICAGO – DePaul men’s and women’s tennis coach Mark Ardizzone announced that David Mullins has been named an associate coach for the men’s tennis program.  Mullins will assist Ardizzone with both programs with the men’s team his main priority.

Mullins comes to DePaul after working in his native Ireland as an assistant tennis professional at Donnybrook L.T.C. in Dulbin for the last two years.  With Donnybrook, he worked with elite junior Irish tennis players and also assisted with the Irish National Team.

With his coaching experience, Mullins has traveled throughout the world with some of Ireland’s top professionals and juniors at various I.T.F. and A.T.P. events.  As a collegiate player at Fresno State, Mullins was a second-team All-WAC honoree in doubles and advanced to the NCAA Tournament with doubles partner Peter Luczak where the duo earned All-American honors and a final No. 9 national ranking.

Professionally, Mullins was ranked as both a singles and doubles player and is a member of Ireland’s Davis Cup team.  He has played in Davis Cup competition in each of the last three years representating Ireland against Ukraine, Hungary, Greece, Egypt and Slovania.
