CHICAGO The DePaul men’s tennis team opens its 2008 dual schedule this Saturday with a road match against cross-town rival UIC. The Blue Demons take on the Flames at 6 p.m. (CST) at the Hinsdale Racquet Club in Hinsdale, Illinois. Junior Jose Moncada recorded eight singles wins, while sophomore Alasdair Graetz notched seven singles victories. Freshman Ben Hartman posted a team-high 10 singles wins and freshman Bartosz Jozwiak won seven matches. The Blue Demons also earned success in doubles play during the fall. Freshman Adam Williams paired with Moncada for a perfect 4-0 record, while junior Austin Doerner teamed with Graetz for a 3-0 record. DePaul’s top duo of Doerner and Moncada represented the Blue Demons at the ITA All-American in Tulsa, Oklahoma and finished the fall ranked No. 15 in the ITA Midwest Region. The last meeting between the Blue Demons and the Flames was in January 2007 at the Lakeshore Athletic Club. DePaul swept the dual, 7-0.
