Western Michigan Sweeps Men's Tennis



KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Blue Demons fell hard on Sunday after losing all nine matches played against the Western Michigan Broncos.  The loss drops DePaul to a record of 1-2 for the season. 

The Blue Demons fought hard in each singles round but couldn't quite pull through for the win.  Three of  the Blue Demon's single's losses went to three sets including Andy Michael's match against Bronco Ravi Pathanjali (7-5, 4-6, 6-1).

4. Justin Kates (WMU) def. Will Wang (DU) 6-3, 6-3
5. Jose Orozco (WMU) def. Eric Huffman (DU) 7-6 (1), 6-4
6. Erik Lindroos (WMU) def. Michael Fessler (DU) 6-1, 6-1
Doubles
1. Maarschalk/Pathanjali (WMU) def. Michael/Davidson (DU) 8-5
2. Dennis/Findling (WMU) def. Kotrozco/Huffman (DU) 8-5
3. Grupp/Orozco (WMU) def. Fessler/Wang (DU) 8-3

The Blue Demons move on to a full week as they will challenge four different teams including Michigan, Wisconsin, Ohio State, and West Virginia.
