Men's Tennis Falls at No. 48 Kentucky
The DePaul men's tennis team suffered a 5-2 loss to No. 48 Kentucky on Saturday. The Blue Demons posted one victory in doubles before Bartosz Jozwiak and Ben Hartman won singles matches at Boone Tennis Complex.
LEXINGTON, Ky. The DePaul men’s tennis team suffered a 5-2 loss to No. 48 Kentucky on Saturday. The Blue Demons posted one victory in doubles before Bartosz Jozwiak and Ben Hartman won singles matches at Boone Tennis Complex.
Jozwiak rallied past Will Beck for a three-set win at No. 5 singles. Beck took the first frame, 6-3, before Jozwiak bounced back and won the second set, 7-6 (1). The DePaul freshman took the match with a 6-2 victory in the final frame.
Sophomore Alasdair Graetz and freshman Adam Williams posted the Blue Demons’ only doubles win. The DePaul pair topped Alex Lambropoulos and Beck, 8-4, at No. 3 doubles.
The No. 1 and No. 6 singles matches were not completed.
DePaul (2-3) returns to competition on Friday, February 8 with a 1 p.m. dual at Bradley.
