Men's Tennis Drops Two

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The men’s tennis team dropped two last weekend at the Jesse Owens West Recreation Center at Ohio State.

On Saturday, the Blue Demons fell to Ohio State, 6-1, with the help of two nationally ranked Buckeyes.  DePaul’s Robert Kotroczo put up a great fight against No. 45 Vince Ng but could not seem to top him.  Jeremy Wurtzman, ranked No. 7 in the nation, showed his prowess against DePaul in No. 3 singles.

Andy Michael was the only Blue Demon to win a match as he beat Dennis Mertens, 6-4, 6-2 in No.1 singles.

On Sunday, the Blue Demons rallied but could not outdo the West Virginia Mountaineers who beat them 4-3.

The Blue Demons’ next meet is at Michigan State on February 8.
