CHICAGO – The No. 73 DePaul men’s tennis team hits the road this weekend and travels to Iowa for matches against Arkansas and the Hawkeyes this weekend.  The Blue Demons begin their weekend with a neutral site match with the Razorbacks on Feb. 4 at 2:30 p.m. and tangles with Iowa on Super Bowl Sunday at 1 p.m.

The Blue Demons (5-2) are coming off a weekend tournament at Harvard Jan. 27-28.  DePaul battled No. 67 Drake, but fell 4-2 before picking up a 4-1 victory over Denver on the first day of competition.  The Blue Demons closed out the tournament with a 4-0 loss to No. 73 Harvard.

DePaul has combined for a 71-49 mark in singles action this season.  Filip Dzanko leads the squad with 16 wins including a 6-0 mark in duels.  George Chanturia follows with a 15-4 record and is 5-2 in the Blue Demons first seven matches of the Spring season.  Dzanko and Chanturia split time in the No. 1 and No. 2 positions, while the duo both has a win over a ranked opponent this season.

While Chanturia and Dzanko are playing well in singles, the pair has teamed-up in doubles for a team-best 6-1 mark.  The Blue Demon duo is 5-1 in duels while the pair’s only loss came at the hands of the No. 45 ranked pair from Harvard.

Following this weekend’s action in Iowa, the Blue Demon head back into Big Ten territory, but this time in Minnesota.  DePaul plays Arizona from the Pac-12 in Minneapolis on Feb. 10, before tangling with the Golden Gophers on Feb. 12.
