Men's Tennis Plays Michigan State

CHICAGO – The men’s tennis team heads to East Lansing, Mich. to face undefeated Michigan State on Saturday.

The Blue Demons have struggled to come up with a win since their first match of the year, having dropped their record to 1-6.  They have, although, played a competitive schedule that has included three Big Ten teams and a few nationally ranked players.

A bright spot on the men’s tennis team is senior Andy Michael who has boasted a record of 5-1 in singles action.  Michael will again take the first singles duties this weekend for the Blue Demons.

The Spartans have started off the year with a 6-0 record that includes an upset over No. 46 Western Michigan.  Last weekend Michigan State shut out Valparaiso 7-0 with ease, having won all singles matches in straight sets.
