Men's Tennis Looking For Success at Drake
CHICAGO – The men’s tennis team has struggled in their spring season, holding a record of 2-6. Their grueling schedule has pitted the Blue Demons against four nationally ranked teams already. The Blue Demons have tirelessly wrestled each of their opponents without much success.
DePaul has seen consistent achievement in the No. 1 singles spot where Andy Michael has managed to win nearly all of his matches. Behind Michael’s and Coach Mark Ardizzone’s leadership, the Blue Demons will attempt to turn their luck around.
The Blue Demons (1-7) are coming off of a brutal loss to Michigan State. The Spartans swept DePaul 7-0.
DePaul plays three on the road this weekend, taking on Nebraska, Drake, and Denver. All matches will be played at Drake.
DePaul will face Nebraska and Drake on Saturday and then battle Denver on Sunday before heading back home.
Nebraska is currently on a four-game winning streak. The Huskers have four newcomers to their roster who have each made great impact on the season.
Drake is off to a slow start this season with a record of 0-2. The Bulldog’s losses have come from two nationally ranked teams.
Denver is currently 3-3. Last weekend the Pioneers fared well after beating Nevada 7-0 and Montana State 5-2.
