Men's Tennis Falls to No. 67 Nebraska
LINCOLN, Neb. The DePaul men’s tennis team suffered a 5-2 loss at No. 67 Nebraska on Saturday. Freshmen Bartosz Jozwiak and Ben Hartman gave the Blue Demons two victories in singles play at the Nebraska Tennis Center. The No. 5 singles match saw Jozwiak edge Renato Melo in three sets. The DePaul freshman took the first set, 6-4, before Melo evened the score with a 6-4 decision in the second frame. Jozwiak sealed the match and gave the Blue Demons a point with a 6-4 triumph in the final set. Hartman topped Karl Jones, 6-1, 6-4, in the No. 6 singles match. With the victory, Hartman improves his dual-season singles record to a perfect 9-0. Sophomore Vanja Grgec joined Jozwiak to give the Blue Demons their only doubles victory of the day. The DePaul tandem knocked off Jones and Melo, 8-6, in the No. 3 match. DePaul (5-4) returns to action on Sunday with a neutral-court dual against Texas-San Antonio. The Blue Demons challenge the Roadrunners at the Nebraska Tennis Center with the first set slated for 9 a.m. (CST). (67) Nebraska 5, DePaul 2
