Men's Tennis Picks Up Win at Illinois State

Jose Moncada and Austin Doerner gave DePaul an 8-4 victory over Alfredo Lagarda and Yohann Nograbat in the top doubles flight, while George Wang and Alasdair Graetz posted an 8-4 Blue Demon win against Nuno Jacinto and Daniel Tobar at No. 2. Vanja Grgec and Danny Wilson suffered an 8-6 defeat in the third doubles match to Oscar Beich and Luka Marinkovic.
Singles action saw Doerner cruise past Lagarda, 6-1, 6-0, in the second match, while Moncada rallied over Jacinto for a 1-6, 6-2, 6-4 victory at No. 3. Grgec earned a point for DePaul in the fifth match, defeating Beich by a score of 6-3, 7-5. Jack Komar triumphed at No. 6 singles with a 6-3, 7-6 win over Tobar.
The Blue Demons (7-3, 1-0 BIG EAST) return to action on Saturday, February 24 with a neutral court match against No. 66 Nebraska in Des Moines, Iowa.
