Men's Tennis Shuts Out Wright State
CHICAGO – The No. 75 DePaul men’s tennis team earned its third straight victory on Sunday with a 7-0 shutout over
The top doubles flight saw Austin Doerner and Jose Moncada give DePaul an 8-7 (6) victory over Nick Camilleri and Tony Teufel. The Blue Demons earned a win at No. 2 doubles as George Wang and Alasdair Graetz defeated Lance Koetter and Craig Smith, 8-3. Vanja Grgec and Danny Wilson posted an 8-3 DePaul victory over Dan Sundersingh and Ted Dahmus in the third doubles match.
Jack Komar and Wang both triumphed in their Senior Day singles matches. Wang defeated Koetter, 6-4, 6-1, in the top singles flight, while Komar rolled past Michael Hall, 6-1, 6-1, at No. 5 singles.
The second singles match saw Doerner deliver a 6-1, 7-5 victory over Teufel. Jose Moncada earned a 6-3, 6-2 win over Camilleri in the third flight, and Graetz knocked off Craig Smith, 6-1, 6-2, in the fourth match. Danny Wilson posted a 6-0, 6-0 shutout over Sundersingh at No. 6 singles.
