CHICAGO -- Riding a two-match winning streak, the DePaul men's tennis team hosts Xavier in a 5 p.m. match in Chicago on Saturday.
The Blue Demons enter the contest having knocked off its last two opponents, topping both Butler (4-3) and IUPUI (6-1) last weekend. DePaul rallied after losing the doubles point to Butler, taking four out of six singles matches. Filip Dzanko, Sten Leusink, Joshua Schramm and Kyle Johnson all picked up singles victories to lead DePaul.
Against IUPUI, DePaul snagged the doubles points with wins at No. 2 and No. 3 before winning 5-of-6 in singles play to seal the win.
DePaul is 1-1 against BIG EAST opponents this season. In addition to the Butler triumph, the Blue Demons dropped a tough 4-3 match at St. John's on Jan. 31.
The Xavier match is the third contest of a four-match homestand for DePaul.
