CHICAGO – Riding a three-match winning streak, the DePaul men’s tennis team seeks its sixth win of the season when it takes on Valparaiso in Chicago on Sunday afternoon.

The contest, which is slated to begin at 3 p.m. in Chicago, marks the final leg of a four-match homestand.

DePaul (5-9) has won its previous three matches on the homestand, topping Butler and IUPUI on March 8 and Xavier last weekend (March 15).

Valparaiso, meanwhile, enters at 13-3 overall.

The Blue Demons have won 78 individual singles matches this spring, led by senior Filip Dzanko’s 7-5 mark in dual play. Dzanko has played in the No. 1 singles slot throughout the season’s entirety and has won four straight. Kyle Johnson, Sten Leusink and Joshua Schramm have also caught fire lately, each winning their last three singles matches.

Following DePaul’s match Sunday, the Blue Demons will have just one home match remaining, an April 12 battle with rival Marquette. DePaul’s next five matchups will be on the road, starting with three at the MTSU Shootout in Murfreesboro, Tenn., on March 28-30.
