No. 52 DePaul Travels to the Sunshine State

CHICAGO – The No. 52 DePaul men’s tennis team travels to Florida for a pair of Spring Break duals. The Blue Demons tangle with BIG EAST Conference rival USF on March 24 before traveling to UCF for a match on March 26. The Blue Demons are facing their seventh ranked team this season in the 50th-ranked Bulls. DePaul is 2-4 against ranked opponents with wins over No. 63 Iowa and No. 73 Princeton. DePaul (11-5), who opened the season with a 10-2 record, is looking to restart its winning ways after dropping its last two matches – both were to ranked opponents. The Blue Demons are led by senior Bartosz Jozwiak who boasts a 17-10 record. The senior is one of five DePaul players with double-digits victories while all seven rostered players have winning singles records. In doubles action, Jozwiak has paired with Sven Kasper for a team-best 19-8 mark. The pair has won its last four matches and is 2-0 against ranked duos this season. George Chanturia and Matija Palinic follow with a 14-6 record and are 7-4 in duals in the second position. DePaul’s match at USF is the first of two BIG EAST duals the Blue Demons will play before the Conference Championship on April 28-May 1. DePaul closes out the regular season at Marquette on April 16. USF (10-5) enters Thursday’s dual on a two-match winning streak after defeating No. 60 Texas A&M – Corpus Christi and UCF at the Rice Invitational last weekend. The Bulls are led by Lucas Jovita, who is ranked No. 73 in singles while he is ranked No. 62 with his doubles partner Jamal Adderley. Thursday’s match will be played at USF Varsity Tennis Courts. DePaul tangles with UCF at the UCF Tennis Complex on Saturday. The Knights (7-10) have lost five of their last six matches and are 5-6 at home this season. Joe Delinks lead UCF with a 13-11 record and is 9-5 in duals this season. Delinks has won his last two matches. Following its two matches in Florida, DePaul travels to Tennessee for a dual with Middle Tennessee State before participating in the Sun Belt Conference Shootout, April 1-3. All matches in Murfreesboro, Tenn. will be played at the Buck Bouldin Tennis Center
