Men's Tennis Falls at UT-Arlington
ARLINGTON, Texas - The DePaul men's tennis team stumbled at UT-Arlington and suffered a 5-2 loss at the hands of the Mavericks. The Blue Demons have dropped their last six matches and fall to 6-15 while UT-Arlington improves to 5-8. After Mathias Hambach and Vanja Grgec won the number two match, 8-5, UT-Arlington rebounded and took the third match to even the score. The doubles point came down to the number one match between DePaul's Bartosz Jozwiak and Matija Palinic and the Maverick's Dmitry Minkin and Mindaugas Celendinas. The teams battled for each point and it came down to the tiebreaker that Minkin and Celendinas would ultimately win 8-6. Heading into singles action, UT-Arlington would clinch the match by winning the number four, one and three match. With the Maverick's claiming the victory, the Blue Demons did not go away as Grgec would win the fifth match in three daunting sets.
