Charlotte Squeaks By Men's Tennis at C-USA Championships



MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- DePaul fell to Charlotte, 4-3, in the first round of the ninth-place consolation bracket. The 49ers lost the doubles point, but came back to claim four singles matches. In first doubles, Mark Henderson and Sam Davidson of DePaul won, 8-2, and teammates Eric Huffman and George Wang also contributed with an 8-6 victory.

 

In the singles competition, Henderson and Wang, won the No. 1 and No. 2 spots with scores of 6-1, 6-3, and 6-0, 4-6, 7-6, respectively. But the Niners recorded wins in the last four flights. Marlo Santoso beat out Davidson (6-3, 4-6, 6-4) in the No. 3 spot to clinch the win.
