2010-11 Men's Tennis Schedule Get Acrobat Reader

CHICAGO - The DePaul head men's tennis coach Matt Brothers announced today his 2010-11 schedule.  The Blue Demons are slated to play eight home matches at the Lakeshore Athletic Club, while the Blue Demons participate in four fall tournaments and two during their spring season.

The Blue Demons begin their 2010 fall season this weekend at the Purdue Invitational, Sept. 17-19.  DePaul travels a short distance Evanston for the Northwestern Invitational Oct. 15-17 before heading to the ITA Midwest Regional that is hosted by Notre Dame, Oct. 21-24.  The Blue Demons close out their fall schedule in Kalamazoo, Michigan at the Vredevelt Invitational, Oct. 29-31.

DePaul opens its season in January with a pair of home matches on Jan. 15.  The Blue Demons host Detroit and UIC before playing a pair of matches in Albuquerque Jan. 21 and 22.  DePaul takes on New Mexcio and Texas A&M Corpus Christi before closing out the month of January at home with Dartmouth on the 28th.

The Blue Demons continue their stretch of home matches in February when they host Iowa (Feb. 5), Princeton (Feb. 6), Toledo (Feb. 18) and Western Michigan (Feb. 26) on the corner of Lakewood and Fullerton Ave.

DePaul also plays at Clemson (Feb. 11), Furman (Feb. 13) and Illinois State (Feb. 20) in the month of February.

The Blue Demons return to the Texas A&M Corpus Christi HEB Invitational for the third consecutive year, March 4-5 before hosting Michigan State for Senior Day on March 12.  

DePaul closes out the regular season with road matches at USF (March 24), UCF (March 26) and Middle Tennessee State (March 30).  The Blue Demons stay in Murfreesboro, April 1-3 for the Middle Tennessee State Invitational before heading to Marquette for their regular season finale on April 16.

DePaul looks to make its fourth consecutive semifinals appearance at the BIG EAST Championship April 28-May 1.  DePaul took second at the Championship in 2009 while the squad reached the semifinals in 2008 and again 2010 before falling to eventual Championship Louisville in the semifinals.

The NCAA Championship is scheduled to run May 14-30 with first and second round action being played May 14-15 at various campus sites.  Stanford is set to host the team championships as well as individual and doubles championships May 19-30.

The Blue Demons return four letterwinners from last season's team while they welcome transfers Sven Kasper and George Chanturia.  Kasper has three years of eligibility left after playing one season at Wichita State while Chanturia begins his junior season in 2010-11.
