Men's Tennis Returns to Indiana for Ball State Invite Friday

CHICAGO -- The DePaul men's tennis team travels to Muncie, Ind., this weekend for the Ball State Invitational. It will be the Blue Demons' second fall tournament of the 2013-14 season and second played in the state of Indiana.

The three-day tournament will be begin Friday, Oct. 4.

DePaul opened its season at the Purdue Invitational in West Lafayette, Ind., on Sept. 20. Last week, Filip Dzanko and David Vieyra participated in the ITA All-American Pre-Qualifier in Tulsa, Okla.

Competition will take place at the Cardinal Creek Tennis Center this weekend. This marks the 35th year Ball State has hosted the invitational.  In addition to the Blue Demons, other schools competing in the tournament include Ball State, Butler, Chicago State, Illinois State, IPFW, IUPUI, the University of Indianapolis and Marquette.

The tournament includes two draws of 32 in singles and two draws of 16 in doubles.
