CHICAGO – With two tournaments under its belt, the DePaul men’s tennis team hits the midway point of its fall season when it plays at the Illinois Challenger Pre-Qualifier this weekend at Illinois’ Atkins Tennis Center.

The Blue Demons have posted 28 singles wins with George Chanturia and Filip Dzanko each boasting six wins apiece.  Chanturia opened his senior season with a perfect 6-0 record before dropping his second round match in the ITA All-American Championship Prequalifying Bracket last weekend in Oklahoma.

Dzako, who lost to Chanturia in the championship of the Purdue Invitational A-Singles bracket, reached the third round of the ITA Prequalifying bracket last weekend.  The sophomore boasts a 22-9 singles record since joining the Blue Demon roster in January 2011.

Following the Illinois Challenger, the Blue Demons head to Columbus, Ohio for the ITA Midwest Regional Oct. 13-17.  DePaul then closes out the fall portion of its schedule by heading to Northwestern’s Wildcat Invitational, Oct. 21-23.
