Cariov Advances At ITA Meet
ATLANTA, GA – DePaul’s Jevegnji Cariov has posted a 2-1 record at the annual ITA All-American Pre-Qualifying meet going on this weekend in Atlanta, Ga. On Thursday, Cariov dropped his opening round match to Robert Gustafsson of Middle Tennessee State by scores of 6-2, 7-5. He rebounded later in the day to beat Sebestian Rutka of LSU, 6-3, 3-2 before Rutka retired due to injury. Today, Cariov opened action with a 4-6, 7-6, 7-6 win over Sam Warburg of Stanford. Jevegnji will advance to tomorrow’s action where he will face Mariano Pettigrosso of Arkansas-Little Rock at 8 a.m.
