DePaul Duo Advances to Sweet Sixteen



Ann Arbor, Mich. - The DePaul doubles pair of Ben Hartman and Bartosz Jozwiak advanced to the round of sixteen at the Wilson/ITA Midwest Regional at the University of Michigan's, University Courts on Saturday. 

Seeded as the No. 14 doubles pair at the tournament, Hartman and Jozwiak received a first round bye and moved into the round of sixteen with an 8-6 win over Marquette's Carlos Gutierrez and Mark Rutherford.  The duo tangles with Chase Buchanan and Justin Kronauge from Ohio State on Sunday.  The DePaul pair improves to 6-0 this season while they are 18-4 all-time in doubles play. 

Earlier today in the main singles draw, Hartman fell to Patrick Pohlmann from Wisconsin 6-2, 6-5.  He was the only Blue Demon left in the main draw.

In consolation play three Blue Demons were successful in their matches against student-athletes from Illinois State.  Alasdair Graetz took a 7-6 (4) 6-2 match from Filip Miljevic while  Vanja Grgec topped Xavier Riart-Ferrer 6-3, 6-2.  Jozwiak rounded out his day with a dominating 6-3, 6-2 win over Michael Hobson.
