DePaul Men's Tennis Heads to Gopher Invitational

CHICAGO - The DePaul men's tennis team will wrap up its fall schedule with a trip to the University of Minnesota to compete in the Gopher Invitational, a three-day tournament hosted at the Baseline Tennis Center.
Six teams will make up the field, including the hosts, Drake University, Dartmouth University, University of Nebraska and the University of Denver. Minnesota and Denver will combine rosters due to injuries and unavailable student-athletes. All action will occur on 10 indoor courts.
Each participating player will have the chance to play four singles and four doubles matches as the format consists of eight groups with one player from each team. There will be no repeat matches or contests between two players on the same team. In doubles, the field will consist of four groups with a doubles duo from each team.
No team scoring will be kept, however, players will accumulate points based on their performance in the groups. There will be one winner for singles and one for doubles in each group.
The Blue Demons will kick off the Gopher Invite with singles play against players from Dartmouth on Friday at 9 a.m. Stayed tuned to DePaulBlueDemons.com for daily results from the tournament.
