2010-11 (Junior): Earned DePaul's 3-point award and Shirley Becker Academic Award... appeared in 23 games and averaged 12.9 minutes per outing... reached double-figures in three games... career-best 12 points against UC Riverside and Northern Illinois... 23 of Ortiz's 31 field goals have been 3-pointers (74.2%)... career-best 4-for-5 effort against UC Riverside and Northern Illinois... tied career-best with six rebounds against Providence... career-best three steals against Valparaiso.

2009-10 (Sophomore): Saw action in 25 games with her first collegiate start at Marquette on Feb. 20... played double-digit minutes in 12 games with a career-high 22 minutes against UIC on Dec. 12... 19 minutes of action against Vandy and dished out a career-best four assists and had two steals... five of her nine made field goals were 3-pointers... started the second half against UIC and at Notre Dame... career-best five rebounds vs. UIC... three assists vs. UIC, Loyola and at Notre Dame... awarded the Shirley Becker Academic Award for having a GPA above 3.5

2008-09 (Freshman): Played in 27 games... grabbed one board in one minute of action vs. West Virginia at the BIG EAST Championship ... three points and one rebound in a career-high 15 minutes at Cincinnati... added one rebound and two assists in three minutes vs. USF... two points, a steal and an assist vs. Syracuse... recorded first career block in seven minutes of action at Villanova... four points, two steals and a rebound, assist and block vs. Seton Hall... one rebound and an assist at St. John's... one rebound vs. Rutgers... one point, rebound and assist vs. Providence... two points and a pair of blocks versus Notre Dame...two rebounds in seven minutes of action at Louisville... went two-for-four from behind the arc in 15 minutes played against Green Bay... six points and added a pair of rebounds in six minutes of action against Northern Illinois... six points, three rebounds and two assists at Missouri State... played 13 minutes against Southern Illinois with three rebounds, two points... scored six points against Southern with two rebounds... five points and a steal against Alcorn State... tallied two steals and two rebounds in first collegiate game against Idaho State.

High School: Four-year letterwinner at Resurrection... finished career with 1,585 points... averaged 12.8 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 2.1 steals per game... two-time Illinois Basketball Coaches Association All-State honoree... played for the North squad in the IBCA Class 3A-4A All-Star Game... three-time GCAC All-Conference and All-Academic Team mention... McDonald's All-American nominee... named to the national top 100 by Street and Smith... selected as one of Chicagoland's top 50 players by the Chicago Tribune and Chicago Sun-Times... picked up first team All-Area honors from the Chicago Sun-Times as a junior and senior... honorable mention All-State honoree for Class 3A-4A by the Chicago Tribune... named MVP of the Niles North Tournament during senior season... three-time member of the Dundee Crown All-Tournament Team... played for Kerry Durham.

Personal: Daughter of Orlando and Silvia Ortiz... has two brothers, David and Mario... enrolled in the College of Commerce with a business administration concentration.
