QUEENS, N.Y. -- The drive for five comes down to the final game of the BIG EAST Conference season.

DePaul is within range of clinching its fifth consecutive regular-season title after a 67-54 victory over St. John's Friday night at Carnesecca Arena.

That improved the Blue Demons to 14-3 in the BIG EAST and 22-7 overall. They remained tied for first place with Marquette.

Mart'e Grays led DePaul with a double-double of 17 points and 10 rebounds while Kelly Campbell also turned in a double-double with 12 points and 10 boards. Ashton Millender scored 14 points and got hot from three-point range in the fourth quarter.

An 8-0 run sparked by back-to-back Millender threes put the Blue Demons up by 54-40 early in the fourth quarter. Millender's third--straight from beyond the arc and one from Amarah Coleman followed by Campbell's basket made it 62-46.

Up by four at halftime, DePaul saw its lead shrink to one before Grays converted four-straight from the line. It gave the visiting team a 38-33 lead as the junior forward hit her first six foul shots.

A Campbell three followed by her pass to a cutting Millender for a layup provided DePaul's biggest lead to that point at 45-37 with 1:14 to go in the third quarter. It was 46-40 heading into the final 10 minutes.

St. John's opened the game making just one of its first 10 shots as DePaul shot out to an early lead. Despite the home team closing out the first quarter with 6-0 burst, the Blue Demons led 12-10.

The Red Storm took a 17-16 lead early in the second quarter when Campbell and Tanita Allen responded with back-to-back threes for a 22-17 lead. Consecutive baskets by Grays inside, one off a nice feed from Lauren Prochaska, led to a 29-25 Blue Demon halftime lead.

Grays had 10 points at the break and St. John's had missed all 12 of its three-point attempts.

The Blue Demons conclude the BIG EAST season on Sunday at Seton Hall with tipoff set for noon (Central Time).
