Campbell caught fire at the outset of the third quarter, scoring eight points in just over two minutes as DePaul moved in front for the first time, 44-39. The multi-talented sophomore guard had her best quarter of the season.

Northwestern (6-5) shot out to a 20-2 lead from the opening tip as the Blue Demons went cold from the floor. But a long Millender three-pointer ignited a 10-0 run and DePaul was within 22-12 after the first quarter.

An 8-0 burst to open the second quarter with Millender hitting another three and then a layup put the Blue Demons right back in it. Dee Bekelja and Grays combined for 10 points in bringing their team within 33-31. DePaul went into its halftime locker room trailing 37-33.
