CHICAGO – DePaul head women’s basketball coach Doug Bruno announced on Thursday that freshmen Brooke Schulte and Brandi Harvey-Carr will miss the remainder of the 2012-13 season due to injuries.
Schulte, a 5-9 guard, appeared in seven games before suffering a season-ending tear to her right anterior cruciate ligament (ACL). The Germantown, Ill. native averaged 4.6 minutes, 1.3 points and 0.7 rebounds.
Harvey-Carr played in six games before being diagnosed with a neck injury. The 6-4 forward from Camden New Jersey, averaged 6.8 minutes, 2.0 rebounds and 1.5 points.
The Blue Demons return to the court at 5 p.m. on Jan. 5 when they host No. 11/10 Louisville. DePaul (11-3) heads into BIG EAST Conference play having won its last five games and boast an 8-1 record at McGrath-Phillips Arena.
