VILLANOVA, Pa. -- The DePaul women's basketball team puts its six-game winning streak on the line when it travels to Villanova for a 7 p.m. (ET) game on Wednesday.  The BIG EAST Conference contest at the Pavilion can be heard live on DePaul's BlueTube with Dave Bernhard and Patricia Babcock McGraw calling the action courtside.  GameTracker is also available while in-game scoring and notes can be followed at www.twitter.com/DePaulWBBSID.

Wednesday's marks the ninth all-time series meeting between the two programs. DePaul has won the last three meeting dating back to 2009 and leads the series 7-1. Villanova's only win came in 2009 when the Wildcats topped the Blue Demons 50-46 on Feb. 14, 2009.

The Blue Demons (12-3, 1-1 BIG EAST) have won their last six games dating back to a 94-83 win over Milwaukee on Dec. 11. During its streak, DePaul is averaging 86.3 points per game while senior Anna Martin is pacing four Blue Demons in double-figures with 22.3 points.

On the season, Martin leads the Blue Demons with 16.6 points per game which ranks seventh in the BIG EAST.  The senior from Lexington, Ky., enters the game with Villanova with an impressive 2.67 assist-to-turnover ratio which ranks second in the BIG EAST and ninth in Division I.

Martin along with Philadelphia native Brittany Hrynko and Chanise Jenkins are part of DePaul's three-guard punch.  The Blue Demon trio is responsible for 218 of DePaul's 296 assists while the group boasts a 2.65 assist-to-turnover ratio. Hrynko ranks second in the BIG EAST with 5.3 assists per game while Jenkins follows with 5.0 and ranks third.  Martin is averaging 4.6 assists while DePaul is the only team in the BIG EAST to have three players ranked in the top 15 in assists per game.

While the guards are finding the open player, Katherine Harry is doing an exceptional job on the glass.  The senior paces the league with 11.4 rebounds per game which is 2.0 rebounds more than any other BIG EAST player.  Harry's rebounding average ranks 14th in DI, while she is also blocking 1.13 shots per game.

Laura Sweeney leads Villanova (11-2, 1-0 BIG EAST) in points (12.3), field goal percentage (.578), rebounding (5.5), blocks (20) and steals (31).  The Wildcats, who have won two straight and boast a 4-0 record at The Pavilion, average 59.7 points per game while holding their opponents to 48.9.

A good 3-point shooting team, Villanova is second in the BIG EAST with 7.9 triples per game while its defense is holding opponents to a just 2.9.  DePaul will look to increase that number as the Blue Demons are third in the league with 7.7 3-pointers and are averaging 8.5 triples during its six-game winning streak.

Following Wednesday's game, the Blue Demons return to McGrath-Phillips Arena for a 7 p.m. contest with USF on Jan. 12.
