Grays Earns BIG EAST Conference Accolade

CHICAGO – After a pair of standout performances, Mart'e Grays was recognized with a BIG EAST Conference accolade on Monday.

The 6-foot, 2-inch junior forward was selected to the BIG EAST Honor Roll after scoring a team-high 19 points in last Thursday’s 93-81 loss at Marquette.

She followed up with a team-high 15 points along with six rebounds, two assists and two steals on Sunday in leading DePaul to a 71-48 victory at Providence.

For the week, Grays averaged 17 points and four rebounds while shooting 50 percent from the field.

The productive week shot Grays to the top of the Blue Demon scoring list averaging 14.1 points per game. Fellow junior Ashton Millender is right behind her at 14.0.

Grays has scored in double figures four games in a row and has hit that mark 12 times this season. She is shooting nearly 40 percent from three-point range.

DePaul (11-5, 3-1) has a tough road assignment on Wednesday against Creighton (9-6, 3-2), a talented contender for the regular-season conference title.
