CHICAGO - The DePaul women's basketball team returns to action on Saturday when it welcomes St. John's for a BIG EAST Conference showdown.  The Blue Demons and Red Storm tip at 4 p.m. at McGrath-Phillips Arena, while the game will be carried in Chicago on Lakeshore Public Television and on Fox College Sports Pacific nationally with Dave Bernhard and Trish Babcock McGraw calling the game.

DePaul (11-4, 2-1 BIG EAST) and St. John's (9-5, 2-1 BIG EAST) are meeting or the 10th time on Saturday. The Blue Demons lead the all-time series 6-3 and have posted a 3-1 mark in games played at McGrath-Phillips Arena.  Last season the Blue Demons fell on the road 67-54, while they had won the last three prior contest dating back to Jan. 8, 2011.

Meeting for the first of two times this season, DePaul and St. John's are the most proficient shooters in the league. The Blue Demons lead the conference with their 44.9 field goal percentage, while the Red Storm follows, with 44.0 percent.  Behind the arc, STJ is tops in the league with their 34.2 percent while DePaul sits at 32.2 percent. However, the Blue Demons lead the BIG EAST with 128 3-pointers (8.5 per game) while St. John's is ninth with just 52 trifectas (3.7 pg) on the year.

DePaul is coming off an impressive 91-71 victory over Providence on Wednesday. Megan Rogowski, who is averaging 15.1 points per game, led four Blue Demons in double-figures with a career-high 30 points. Rogowski's career high came on 10-of-22 shooting, while the junior connected on a career-best eight 3-pointers in the win.

Rogowski's triples tied a DePaul single-game record, while it set a new standard at McGrath-Phillips Arena.  On the season, Rogowski is averaging 3.14 3-pointers per game which leads the BIG EAST and ranks 14th in Division I.

Jasmine Penny also reached double figures in the win, while the senior has recorded at least 23 points in DePaul's last four games.  The Logansport, Ind., native paces five DePaul players in double-figures with 16.9 points which ranks fourth in the BIG EAST. Chanise Jenkins is averaging 11.2 and Brittany Hrynko follows with 11.1.  Megan Podkowa, who missed the Providence game with a concussion, rounds out the group with 10.2 points per contest.

St. John's has won four of their last five games and is 2-3 in road games this season. The Red Storm handed Creighton its first loss in BIG EAST play with a 67-48 victory on Wednesday in New York.

St. John's is averaging 67.4 points per game while Aliyyah Handford paces the team with 17.6 points.  Handford and Briana Brown are the only two players to start and play in all 14 games this season.  Brown is averaging 9.9 points and leads the team with 14 3-pointers.  

Following Saturday's game DePaul travels to Seton Hall for a 6 p.m. (CT) contest on Tuesday, Jan. 14.

The Blue Demons return to McGrath-Phillips Arena for a 2 p.m. game with Villanova on Jan. 19.
