SYRACUSE, NY. – The DePaul women’s basketball team hits the road for a BIG EAST Conference game at Syracuse on Tuesday at the Carrier Dome. The Blue Demons and Orange hit the hardwood at 7 p.m. (ET.) The game will be carried live in Chicago on Lakeshore Public Television with Steve Infanti and Lorraine Schunck calling the action courtside. Dave Bernhard and Trish Babcock McGraw will call the game for DePaul’s BlueTube. Live stats are also available while in-game scoring and notes can be followed at www.twitter.com/DePaulWBBSID.
DePaul (13-4, 2-1 BIG EAST) has won seven of its last eight games and has started BIG EAST play with a 2-1 record. The Blue Demons are playing just their third true road game of the season. Led by Anna Martin’s 17.1 points, DePaul is averaging 77.1 points per outing which ranks 11th in Division I.
The Blue Demons are coming off a 91-75 victory over USF which saw Martin score a season-high 35 points. Brittany Hrynko added 22 points while Katherine Harry recorded her 20th career double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds against the Bulls.
Harry enters Tuesday’s contest with 991 points and rebounds. The senior from Columbia, Missouri is looking to become DePaul’s 28th 1,000-point scorer and just, the fifth player to grab 1,000 rebounds.
Syracuse (14-1, 2-0 BIG EAST) has won its last seven games and boasts a 7-0 record at the Carrier Dome. The Orange lead the BIG EAST in 3-point field goal defense (.253) and steals (13.8). Kayla Alexander paces Syracuse with 19.5 points per game which is the second-best scoring average in the BIG EAST.
DePaul and Syracuse are meeting for the eighth time, with the Blue Demons leading the all-time series 5-2 and are 3-0 in games played at the Carrier Dome. The Orange defeated DePaul, 81-65 in Lincoln Park a season ago, which halted a three-game series winning streak for the Blue Demons.
DePaul returns to Lincoln Park and hosts Providence at 7 p.m. on Jan. 19. The Blue Demons have won their last eight games at home and boast a 10-1 record on their home court this season.

Syracuse Tops No. 21/18 DePaul
No. 21/18 DePaul's three-game winning streak came to an end with an 81-65 loss to Syracuse on Tuesday in BIG EAST Conference action at McGrath-Phillips Arena. Anna Martin led DePaul with 18 points. Jasmine Penny chipped in 16 points and added nine rebounds and dished out a career-high five assists. Katherine Harry added 11 points.
