Lenae Williams Named C-USA Player of the Week
CHICAGO - DePaul All-American candidate Lenae Williams was named Conference USA Player of the Week after averaging 29.0 points and shooting .600 from the field in victories over Tulane and Southern Miss. This marks the second time this season that the senior forward has earned the league's weekly honor.
Williams opened the Conference USA weekend with 27 points in DePaul's 77-69 win over the Green Wave. In that game, she was 9-for-16 from the field while grabbing four rebounds with three assists and a pair of steals. She also was a perfect 6-for-6 from the free throw line as the Blue Demons were a combined 17-of-19.
In the 100-72 victory against Southern Miss, Williams tallied 31 points in just 28 minutes of playing time while going 12-of-19 from the field. She also registered a team-high five assists against the Golden Eagles with three rebounds. Her 20 points in the first half nearly outscored Southern Miss as the Blue Demons led, 55-23, at the half.

Throughout this season, she has been ranked in the nation's top 10 in scoring average and is currently tied for 11th in NCAA history with 294 career three-pointers.
Up next for DePaul is a Sunday afternoon game against the Marquette Golden Eagles. Tipoff is set for 2 p.m. at the DePaul Athletic Center. The two teams are tied for first with identical 6-1 Conference USA records. DePaul won the first meeting, 64-60, earlier this month in Milwaukee.
