CHICAGO - The DePaul Blue Demons hit the road for a BIG EAST game at USF on Tuesday night in Tampa. The Bulls are the first of three road opponents in the next four games for the Blue Demons as DePaul finished a three-game homestand with a 78-55 win over Villanova on Saturday. The Blue Demons started the homestand with an 81-51 win on Jan. 26 over Cincinnati before a 69-66 loss to No. 22/22 Syracuse on Jan. 29.

USF is 11-10 overall and 1-7 in BIG EAST play while DePaul enters the game with a 16-5 overall record and 5-3 mark in league action. The Blue Demons are ranked No. 25 in this week’s AP top 25. Last week’s ESPN/USA Today Coaches poll has the Blue Demons at No. 24. The new coaches top 25 will be released on Tuesday afternoon.

Following Tuesday’s action, the Blue Demons host Louisville on Sunday at McGrath Arena. After playing the Cardinals, DePaul travels to West Virginia on Feb. 16 and Georgetown on Feb. 20. Five of DePaul’s eight remaining regular-season games are away from Chicago.

Noting the Blue Demons: In the last 10 games, the Blue Demons are 139-for-186 (.747) from the free throw line... DePaul started the season with a team .604 (113-187) free throw percentage in the first 11 games... the back-to-back losses to Tennessee and Pittsburgh marked just the fourth occurrence in eight seasons at McGrath Arena the Blue Demons lost consecutive home games... DePaul’s five losses are to opponents that are a combined 81-25 (.764) this season... DePaul’s 10-game winning streak to start the season was the seventh winning streak of at least 10 games in program history... the Blue Demons have also put together at least one 10-game winning streak in four of the last five campaigns... the 90-58 win at Northern Illinois on Dec. 17 was the 950th game in program history... with a school-record 250 three-pointers in 2006-07, DePaul has made at least 200 three’s in a season in eight straight years... the 2002-03 squad held the previous program record with 233 three’s in a season... since the start of the 2003-04 season (148 games), the Blue Demons have held 64.9 percent of their opponents to less than 70 points (96-of-148)... in that span, DePaul is 85-11 (.885) when holding opponents to less than 70 points... in 2007-08, the Blue Demons are 4-3 when allowing more than 70 points and 12-2 when holding the opposition to less than 70... in the last three-plus seasons, the Blue Demons are 88-30 (.746)... in the last 42 home games against conference opponents, DePaul has posted 37 victories... over the last seven-plus seasons (241 games), DePaul has scored at least 80 points in 89 games... the Blue Demons hold an 84-5 (.944) record in those games... in 34 seasons of play at DePaul, the women’s basketball program is 605-357 (.629)... with two games in each of its two BIG EAST Tournaments, DePaul is just one of four teams to play in multiple conference tourney games... Connecticut, Rutgers and Pittsburgh have also played at least two games in each of the last two BIG EAST Championships.

Opponent 22 - USF Bulls: USF enters Tuesday’s game at 11-10 overall and 1-7 in BIG EAST play... the Bulls have dropped eight of their last nine games after starting the season at 10-2... USF lost at Louisville, 87-51, on Feb. 2... Shantia Grace leads the team with 16.7 points per game and 44 three-pointers... she is followed by Jessica Lawson with 11.3 points while ChiChi Okpaleke averages 7.8 points and a team-high 6.6 rebounds per game... head coach Jose Fernandez is in his eighth season at USF.

The Series - DePaul leads 10-4: The two programs meet for 15th time on Tuesday night... DePaul has posted victories in all six of the last seven meetings... the lone blemish was a 79-77 loss on Dec. 7, 2005, in the last visit to the Sun Dome... a year ago in Chicago, DePaul posted a 72-65 victory... Caprice Smith led five players in double-figures with 17 points and 15 rebounds... Allie Quigley added 13 while Missy Mitidiero scored 11 and Erin Cattell chipped in 10 points.

It Could Happen: With 10 or more points, Allie Quigley will register her 100th career game in double-figures... she will also be making her 110th consecutive start... Missy Mitidiero needs four three-pointers to move into 11th all-time.

Demon Doings: Notes following the 78-55 win against Villanova on Feb. 2:
- The victory was win No. 410 for Doug Bruno... it was also his 645th game on the DePaul sidelines.
- Since the start of the 2003-04 season (148 games), DePaul is 85-11 when holding opponents to less than 70 points.
- The Blue Demons have made a three-pointer in 95 consecutive games.
- DePaul’s 12 three-pointers mark the fifth game this season with at least 10 three-pointers.
- Allie Quigley notched her fifth game this season with at least three three-pointers.
- Natasha Williams took sole possession of ninth on the season chart with her 37th and 38th blocked shots... Williams has blocked two shots in six of the last seven games.
- DePaul has won all four meetings between the two programs.

Streaking: Dating back to last season and in some cases, the last couple of seasons, the Blue Demons have put together various streaks. Listed below are some current active streaks heading into Tuesday’s game at USF:
- 95 consecutive games with a three-pointer
- 30 straight wins against opponents from Illinois, 43 of the last 44, and 51 wins in the last 53 games
- five straight NCAA Championship appearances
- 109 consecutive starts for Allie Quigley
- 31 games in-a-row scoring in double-figures for Allie Quigley

TV Time: The BIG EAST Conference totals a league-record 101 combined appearances this season featuring each of the league’s 16 programs. For the second straight year every game of the league tournament will be televised and the CSTV “Game of the Week” package will single out the BIG EAST as the nation’s only conference with a weekly women’s basketball night on CSTV. DePaul is scheduled to make at least eight regular-season television appearances that started on Jan. 2 against defending NCAA Champion Tennessee on ESPNU. The Blue Demons were also seen on ESPNU in a game against Pittsburgh on Jan. 6 and will be featured on Feb. 24 against Notre Dame. The BIG EAST TV Network carried the Jan. 19 game at Marquette while the Jan. 22 game at Notre Dame was on CSTV. Louisville visits McGrath Arena on Feb. 10 for an ESPN2-televised game. While the final home game of the regular season against Connecticut will be seen on CLTV in Chicago with the CPTV (Connecticut Public Television) feed. West Virginia Public Broadcasting announced a nine-game television package with the DePaul-West Virginia game in Morgantown on Feb. 16 on WV PBS.

Looking for Six: DePaul has tallied five straight NCAA Championship appearances and 12 NCAA visits overall. Last season’s fifth consecutive appearance set a school record for consecutive NCAA’s. DePaul earned four straight NCAA berths from 1990-93 followed by a three-year run from 1995-97. The program is 7-12 all-time in NCAA action and 4-5 during the five-year streak, including the 2006 NCAA Regional Semifinal in San Antonio, Texas.
