DePaul and UConn are meeting for the 11th time while the Huskies have won the last nine series games. Connecticut is 3-0 in games played a Gampel and has won a pair of BIG EAST Conference Championship contests at the XL Center. The Blue Demons' lone series win came in 1983 at the Dial Classic in Minneapolis, Minn. DePaul (17-6, 6-3 BIG EAST) comes to Storrs having won four of its last five games. The Blue Demons are paced by Brittany Hrynko's 19.7 points in BIG EAST games. In league contests, the sophomore from Philadelphia, paces the conference in scoring while she also ranks in the top 15 in assists (2nd -- 5.6), 3-point field goals (3rd - 3.1), minutes (5th - 36.3), steals (t5th - 2.7), assist-turnover ratio (12th -- 1.0) and defensive rebounds (12th - 4.4). Against BIG EAST opponents DePaul is averaging 69.9 points per game with three Blue Demons - Hrynko (19.7), Anna Martin (16.2) and Jasmine Penny (13.4) all averaging double-figures. Penny is coming off a career-high 29 points in the Blue Demons' 74-48 win over Seton Hall on Feb. 6. Connecticut (21-1, 8-1 BIG EAST) is coming off a 94-37 win over Marquette on Feb. 5 and has won its last nine games. The Huskies are 10-1 on their home court this season and have won 173 of their last 178 BIG EAST home games. Connecticut leads the Division I (thru Feb. 7) in scoring with 82.5 points per game with Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis leading the team with 17.2 points per outing. Stefanie Dolson is averaging 13.8 points and leads the country with her .618 field goal percentage. Following DePaul's game with the Huskies, the Blue Demons return to Lincoln Park and host Rutgers on Feb. 12. DePaul and the Scarlet Knights tip at 8 p.m., while the game can be seen live on CBS Sports Network. The Blue Demons have also tabbed Tuesday's contest as their Play 4Kay game and both teams will wear uniforms infused with pink in support the Kay Yow Cancer Fund which is committed to the fight against women's cancers through raising money for scientific research, assisting the underserved and unifying people for a common cause.
