MILWAUKEE - The DePaul women's basketball team puts its season-long nine-game BIG EAST Conference winning streak on the line when it takes on Marquette on Tuesday at the Al McGuire Center.  Tip is scheduled for 7 p.m. and the game will be carried on DePaul's BlueTube with Dave Bernhard and Trish Babcock McGraw calling the action courtside. GameTracker is also available while in-game scoring and notes can be followed at twitter.com/DePaulWBBSID.

Tuesday's game marks the 60th all-time meeting between the two rivals. In a series that began in 1978, the two schools became conference rivals in 1987 when both were members of the North Star, Great Midwest Conference, Conference USA and now the BIG EAST.  Marquette did move to the Midwestern Collegiate Conference for the 1989-90 and 1990-91 seasons, but the two programs still played as non-conference foes.

DePaul has won nine of the last 11 series meetings, while both Marquette's wins during that stretch were on its home court in 2011 and in 2013.  The Blue Demons own a 37-22 series advantage while the Golden Eagles are 16-10 in games played in Milwaukee.

Earlier this season, DePaul took a 91-85 game on Jan. 29 at McGrath-Phillips Arena.  Brittany Hrynko paced five Blue Demons in double figures with 20 points, while Megan Rogowski chipped in 19.  DePaul dished out 21 assists, with Chanise Jenkins responsible for 10 of those.  The Blue Demons recorded 19 steals in the win and held a 21-11 margin in points off turnovers.

The Blue Demons held Marquette's leading scorer and rebounder, Katherine Plouffe, scoreless and without a rebound in the opening half, but Plouffe would finished with a 11 points and rebounds and was one of four Golden Eagles in double-figures.

Entering Tuesday's game, DePaul (20-5, 11-2 BIG EAST) has won its last nine games which includes its win over Marquette on Jan. 29.  The Blue Demons' winning streak dates back to Jan. 14 when it defeated Seton Hall in South Orange and includes five road victories.

During DePaul's nine-game winning streak, the Blue Demons are averaging 83.9 points and has eclipsed the 89 point mark in four games.  DePaul boasts a +17.0 scoring margin and is knocking down 9.6 3-pointers per game.

Rogowski is leading DePaul's assault from behind the arc during the streak with 3.6 triples per game.  On the year, the junior is averaging 3.21 3-pointers which ranks seventh in Division I. Her .443 field goal percentage from long range this season ranks 15th.

Marquette (17-7, 8-5 BIG EAST) has won its last two games and four of its last five.  Plouffe paces the Golden Eagles in scoring (17.2), field goal percentage (.472), free throw percentage (.790) and rebounds (9.5)

DePaul returns to Lincoln Park on Saturday, Feb. 22 when its hosts Butler for a 7 p.m. BIG EAST showdown at McGrath-Phillips Arena.
