Feb. 19, 2018

CHICAGO – A hot hand from three-point range brought Ashton Millender recognition from the BIG EAST Conference on Monday.

The junior guard was selected to the BIG EAST Honor Roll after turning in one of the top-seven performances in league games last week.

Millender scored 19 points in an 86-85 loss to Georgetown on Friday, knocking down 5-of-8 from beyond the arc.

Two days later, Millender again put up 19 points going 3-of-6 from deep in a critical 71-66 win over Villanova.

That gave No. 24 DePaul’s leading long-range threat nearly 40 points in two games while shooting 8-of-14 (.571) on three-pointers.

Millender leads DePaul in three-point field goals with 79, is tied for first in the BIG EAST and is No. 25 in the nation. She is knocking them down at a .414 clip (71-of-191).

The Blue Demons are tied with Marquette atop the BIG EAST standings at 13-3 and finish off the conference season this weekend with a 6 p.m. game Friday at St. John’s and a noon matchup Sunday at Seton Hall.
