CHICAGO – The No. 21/18 DePaul women’s basketball team closes out the regular season by hosting Cincinnati on Feb. 27.  Tip is scheduled for 7 p.m. while the game can be seen in the Chicagoland on Lakeshore Public Television with Dave Bernhard and Patricia Babcock-McGraw calling the action courtside.

Monday’s game can also be heard on DePaul’s BlueTube with Cami Padilla calling the action while GameTracker is also available.  In-game scoring and notes can be followed at

The clash between the Blue Demons and Bearcats is the 35th in a series that dates back 1986 and spans three different conferences.  The two programs competed as conference rivals in the Great Midwest, Conference USA and now the BIG EAST Conference.  DePaul holds a 23-12 series advantage and has won the last four meetings.  The Blue Demons own a 14-2 series lead in games played in Chicago and have won the last four dating back to 2004.

DePaul (20-9, 8-7 BIG EAST) is looking to snap a two-game losing streak on Monday.  A win against the Bearcats would clinch the No. 8 seed in the BIG EAST Championship, while a loss and a USF win would push DePaul back to a No. 9 seed.

Cincinnati (15-13, 6-9) has won four of its last five games, but dropped a 66-62 game to West Virginia on Saturday.  Dayees Hollins and Bjonee Reaves leads the Bearcats in double-figures with 14.5 and 13.5 points, respectively.

Following Monday’s game, DePaul will celebrate the careers of its seniors – Deanna Ortiz, Keisha Hampton, Taylor Pikes and Maureen Mulchrone. This quartet of players has helped the Blue Demons to three straight NCAA Tournaments while last year’s team reached the Sweet 16 for the second time in the program’s history.

The BIG EAST Conference will announce the bracket for the Championship in Hartford, Conn., Mar. 2-6 after all of Monday’s games are complete.  The top four seeds will receive a bye into the quarterfinals while seeds four through eight receive a first round bye and do no play until Saturday, Mar. 3.

• Noting the Blue Demons: DePaul is 702-402 (.636) all-time... the 2011-12 campaign is the 37th season of women’s basketball at DePaul University...  since the start of the 2003-04 season (291 games), the Blue Demons have held 65.3 percent of their opponents to less than 70 points (190-of-291)... in that span, DePaul is 162-28 (.853) when holding opponents to less than 70 points... in that same time span, DePaul has scored 70 or more points in 192 games... DePaul is 168-24 (.875) when scoring 70 plus points... in the last seven plus seasons (260 games), the Blue Demons are 185-75 (.712)... in the last 76 home games against conference opponents, DePaul has posted 63 victories... over the last ten plus seasons (382 games), DePaul has scored at least 80 points in 125 games... the Blue Demons hold a 120-5 (.960) record in those games... in the same span, DePaul is 52-1, including 50 straight wins, when scoring at least 90 points.

• It Could Happen:  Head coach Doug Bruno could win his 548th career coaching victory and 508th at the collegiate level… with one 3-pointer it would run DePaul’s streak to 89 consecutive games with a 3-pointer… Anna Martin needs four points to tie Sam Quigley (1,273) for 16th on DePaul’s all-time scoring list… Katherine Harry needs two blocks to tie for 10th on DePaul’s single-season block list.
