Join No. 24 DePaul for NCAA Selection Show on Monday

CHICAGO – Come join the No. 24 DePaul women's basketball team on Monday night for the NCAA Women's Basketball Selection Special presented by Capital One.
Coach Doug Bruno and BIG EAST regular-season and tournament champions will gather at McGrath-Phillips Arena for the unveiling of the NCAA tournament brackets on ESPN on a large-screen projection. The event is open to the public as doors open at 5 p.m. with the ESPN telecast beginning at 6 p.m.
Admission is free to the selection show watch party which includes food and soda. Parking is available next door to the Sullivan Athletic Center at the 2335 N. Sheffield parking facility.
Ranked No. 24 in the USA Today Coaches’ Poll, the Blue Demons have earned an automatic berth after beating Marquette 98-63 in last Tuesday’s BIG EAST tournament title game for its third postseason championship in the last five years. They have won five consecutive regular-season crowns.
DePaul is No. 2 in the country in three-point baskets and attempts, No. 3 in assists, No. 4 in assists per game, No. 7 in scoring offense and assist-turnover ratio and No. 22 in rebounds.
Kelly Campbell is No. 3 in the nation in assist-turnover ratio and No. 19 in assists. Ashton Millender is No. 15 in three-point baskets and No. 21 in three-point percentage. Lauren Prochaska is No. 25 in assist-turnover ratio.
The Blue Demons have already set program records for three-pointers in a season (398) and three-point attempts (1,104).
ESPN Selection Show/Tournament Coverage
The 64-team NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball Championship field will be announced at 6 p.m. CT Monday exclusively on ESPN during the NCAA Women’s Basketball Selection Special. The two-hour show will begin on ESPN before moving to ESPNU at 7 p.m.
Host Maria Taylor and analysts Andy Landers, Kara Lawson and Rebecca Lobo will reveal the teams competing for a national championship along with coverage from bracketologist Charlie Creme reporting live from the NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball Selection Committee meeting in Indianapolis. Committee chair Rhonda Bennett will be interviewed in the first hour of the show.
Prior to the selection show, fans will get a glimpse of the committee’s discussions. In the 5 p.m. hour of SportsCenter on Sunday, Bennett will reveal in alphabetical order the final eight teams being considered for the NCAA tournament. Four of these teams will round out the 64-team tournament field.
The Selection Special is a part of the Tournament Challenge Marathon bringing 25-consecutive hours of coverage and analysis as fans prepare their brackets via the ESPN Tournament Challenge App for the men’s and women’s college basketball tournaments.
ESPN is the home of the NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball Championship which begins Friday, March 16. Every round of the championship will air on ESPN or ESPN2. The Women’s Final Four will be live from Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio with the semifinals on Friday, March 30 and the national championship game on Sunday, April 1.
ESPN and ESPN2 will present regionalized telecasts with home market protection through the first two rounds. ESPN3 will offer first- and second-round games in their entirety as a supplement to ESPN and ESPN2’s coverage. The final 15 games, beginning with the regional semifinals, will have national telecast windows on ESPN or ESPN2.
